気の滅入る物事たち。
未だに届かない荷物をめぐって、今度はノースウェストの本社に電話をかけてみる。
さすがに本社だけあってすぐに出てくれたけど（でも5分かかった）、本社の回答は
「調べて折り返しかけるから待ってて。」
そして1時間、2時間、待てど暮らせど返事の電話は来ない。
これは本格的に紛失されたかなぁ、という気がしてきた。一応、弁償してもらえれば
お金で済むものがほとんどなのが不幸中の幸いなのだけれども、お金の問題以前に
ここ数日間の労力を補償してほしい。500マイルは既にもらったけど、もう3000マイル
くらい余分にもらわないと割に合わない気がする。何度電話をかけ、何時間費やしたか。
午後に日本の元・研究室同期生の野上に電話をかけ、実に見事な阿吽の呼吸で
ちょっぴり気の滅入る話をした。お互いに同じ心配事が杞憂じゃなかったことを知り、
電話をかけてよかったな、と心からほっとする。気軽に相談はしてみるもんだ。
明日はInformation Seeking Behaviorの期末プロジェクトの打ち合わせの
第1回、ということで、夕方は延々頭をひねりながら準備をする。どうやったら自分の
オリジナルの研究と授業の期末プロジェクトをリンクさせられるか、と考えていたら、
気がついたら4時間以上うんうん唸っていた。きちんと考えがまとまらないまま、
ちょっと不毛な一日にほろりと涙を流しつつ(?)夜は早々とふて寝。ああ、やれやれ。。
